Yvon and Karine Vallières, prominent figures in the Richmond riding, are uniting their voices in support of Karl Blackburn in his campaign for the leadership of the Quebec Liberal Party. Yvon Vallières, who served as MNA for Richmond for over thirty years and as President of the National Assembly from 2009 to 2011, is known for his dedication to regional communities, his attentiveness to citizens, and his ability to build consensus. During his time as President, he distinguished himself through dialogue, compromise, and respect for differences. He sees in Karl a leader who embodies these same values.

Karine Vallières, who succeeded her father in 2012 as MNA for Richmond, served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier for youth affairs, Deputy Government Whip, and played a key role in the economic revitalization of the neighboring Sources region.
