Montreal, April 16, 2025 –

Three veterans of the Liberal Party with recognized expertise in economic and regional affairs are uniting their voices today to support Karl Blackburn. Yvon Marcoux, Michel Audet, and Alain Paquet see in him a leader capable of restoring the rigour and economic momentum that Quebec needs.
Yvon Marcoux, former Minister of Justice and Transport, is known for his institutional knowledge and his commitment to the regions. He sees Karl as a unifying leader, close to the ground and to the people. Michel Audet, who served as Minister of the Economy and later Minister of Finance — and who was behind the creation of the Generations Fund — praises the strength of Karl’s economic vision. Alain Paquet, former Minister of Finance and professor at ESG-UQAM, actively contributed to economic policy from 2003 to 2012. He emphasizes the importance of clear-sighted economic leadership.
Together, they express their confidence in Karl Blackburn’s ability to rally key players, demonstrate fiscal responsibility, and offer Quebecers an ambitious and credible vision for the future.
They are proud to add their voices to Karl’s.
